Morty is a One.  He's been laboring his entire life, but finally it's his sixtieth birthday.  Time for him to retire his old body and travel up through the clouds to the White City where he'll begin his new life as a One-Two.  He'll be given a new body and anything he wants as reward for his service.  But once Processing begins, things don't go exactly as planned.  Can Morty figure out the secret before he is lost in the System all over again?

This book was fantastic. The build up towards Morty reaching the White City kept me hooked. I felt like I got to know Morty quite a lot throughout the look. He was a likable old man, a hard worker and it was his time to start a new life. The story follows the journey of Morty from two weeks before his sixtieth birthday to being prepped for being taken to the White City including surgery to have his brain transferred into his young clone which was chosen some twenty years prior. The ending had me gobsmacked I didn’t see that coming at all!

I will be looking out for more books from Zach Turner for sure.
